One-Year Professional Diploma – Program Summary
The One-Year Professional Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management is a comprehensive, practice-oriented program designed to prepare participants for leadership and operational roles in the global tourism and hospitality industry. The program combines information systems expertise, operational management, product development, marketing strategy, and innovation to equip graduates with industry-ready competencies.
The diploma totals 202 academic hours, structured into two semesters of 90 hours each, plus 22 hours for final attestation and evaluation.
First Semester: Information Systems in Tourism and Hotel Management
The first semester focuses on technology-driven management systems and operational intelligence in hospitality. Participants develop strong knowledge of:
- Information systems in tourism and hospitality (TPS, MIS, DSS, system integration)
- Reservation and booking systems (CRS, PMS, online booking engines, channel management, analytics)
- Guest management and experience systems (CRM, loyalty programs, data privacy, mobile technologies)
- Operational management systems (housekeeping, maintenance, energy management, financial systems, HR scheduling)
- Data-driven management strategies (business intelligence, forecasting, KPIs, performance metrics, cost efficiency)
This semester emphasizes real-world case studies, system integration, analytics, and data-based decision-making in hotel and tourism operations.
Second Semester: Development and Promotion of Tourism and Hotel Management
The second semester shifts toward business growth, service excellence, and market expansion strategies. Participants explore:
- Practical operational procedures and best practices in hospitality management
- Tourism product development (custom packages, niche tourism, sustainable tourism practices, quality control)
- Promotion and sales strategies (digital marketing, campaigns, distribution channels, brand partnerships)
- Guest experience enhancement (personalization, complaint handling, feedback management, service innovation)
- Market trends, innovation, crisis management, and future-proofing hospitality businesses
The program integrates sustainability, digital transformation, and resilience strategies to prepare students for evolving global tourism markets.
Capstone and Assessment
The program concludes with a final attestation component. All learning materials and research paper guidelines are provided through Moodle.
Upon successful completion of all academic and evaluation requirements, participants are awarded the One-Year Professional Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management.
